Schroeder Garners Second Career OAC Men’s Golf Weekly Accolade

BEREA, Ohio – Junior All-Ohio Athletic Conference men's golfer Scott Schroeder (Aurora) has been selected as the OAC Men's Golfer of the Week for his stellar performance at the Raider Invitational hosted by the University of Mount Union on September 13 and 14.

Schroeder, who garners his second career OAC weekly honor, was the Medalist as he fired a career and tournament-low 69 in the first round and followed it up with a 76 in the final round to win the tournament by four strokes with a two-day total of 145. He also earned OAC Player of the Week on Sept. 17, 2013 after winning medalist honors at the John Carroll University Tournament when he won a three-way playoff.

This season, Schroeder leads the Yellow Jackets this season with a 72.50 average after two fall tournaments.   He has finished in the top 10 in both tournaments, the top five in one and was the winner this past weekend.

For his career, Schroeder has 77.8 average in 26 tournaments.

BW is back in action this Saturday, September 19 when it hosts the Yellow Jacket Invitational at the Grey Hawk Golf Club in LaGrange, Ohio.   The tee times for the invitational are slated to begin at 9 am.
