Today's Contest:
 
Today is the Ohio Athletic Conference opener and the second road contest of the season for the Baldwin Wallace University football team as it travels to Westerville to take on Otterbein University.  BW opened up the 2019 season with a 31-14 victory over Alma (Mich.) College.  Otterbein fell to Ohio Wesleyan University in an emotional 22-10 season opener.

The Series: 
BW and Otterbein are meeting for the 52nd time on the gridiron. The Yellow Jackets hold a 37-12-1 all-time series lead but the Cardinals have won two of the last three meetings.  Last season, the Yellow Jackets posted a 33-3 home victory. The series began in 1925 with the Yellow Jackets defeating the Cardinals, 7-0, in Berea. 

BW Head Coach Jim Hilvert: 
Hilvert is in his third season at BW and has a record of  15-6 and OAC slate of 12-6. He is 782-25 in his 11th overall season and is 1-1 against Otterbein. 

Otterbein Head Coach Tom Doup: 
Doup is in his eighth season at Otterbein and has a career record of 35-36 and an OAC record of  32-31.  He is 5-2 vs. Baldwin Wallace.

Last Meeting vs. OTT -- Sept. 8, 2018:
BW scored 33 points on 310 yards passing and 88 yards rushing for 398 yards of total offense. Otterbein scored three points on 89 yards passing and 46 yards rushing for 135 yards of total offense.

Scouting the Yellow Jackets: 
In week one of the season, BW scored 31 points on 346 yards passing and 106 yards rushing for a 452 yards of total offense. Alma (Mich.) scored 14 points on 114 yards passing and 109 yards rushing for 223 yards of total offense.

BW Leaders: 
Offensively, senior quarterback A.J. Miller (Coral Springs, Fla./Coral Springs Charter) has completed 26 of 37 passes for 346 yards with two touchdowns.  Sophomore All-OAC running back Jon Murray, Jr. (Cincinnati/Withrow) leads the ground attack with 57 yards on 14 carries with one touchdown. Junior wideout Iyan Mitchell (Tampa, Fla../Robinson) leads the receiving corps with six catches for 126 yards with one touchdown.  Defensively, sophomore defensive back Dominick Bowman (Canton/Massillon Perry) ) and sophomore defensive back Anthony Kendall (Port Richey, Fla./River Ridge) top the team with six tackles and one pass breakup apiece. Kendall leads the squad with two interceptions. Senior defensive end Jake Schrock (Rockport, Mass,/Gloucester) is third with five tackles but tops the team with two quarterback sacks.

Scouting the Cardinals: 
Otterbein scored 10 points on 295 yards passing and 84 yards rushing for 379 yards of total offense.  Ohio Wesleyan scored 22 points on 21 yards rushing and 189 yards passing for 210 yards of total offense.

Otterbein Leaders: 
Offensively, junior quarterback Bryce Hall has completed 19 of 35 passes for 222 yards with two interceptions.  Sophomore running back Matt Webb leads the ground attack with 57 yards on 19 carries with one touchdown.  Junior wide outs Dylan Tuggle and Dom Ross lead the receiving corps with four catches apiece.  Tuggle has 54 yards and Ross has 52 yards.  Defensively, junior All-OAC defensive back Niall Lawson leads the team with 15 tackles, one pass breakup and one blocked kick.
