Bowman Garners First Career OAC Football Weekly Honor

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University sophomore defensive back Dominick Bowman (Canton/Massillon Perry) has been selected as the Ohio Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the first time in his career.

Bowman, who tallied two tackles and one pass breakup, led the BW defense with his first two career interceptions and scored his first career touchdown on an 81-yard return in the Yellow Jackets 45-28 victory over Otterbein University on Saturday.  BW, who has now recorded five interceptions on the season, forced five total turnovers and scored on three of them, including the first two touchdowns of the game.

In two games this season, Bowman has recorded nine tackles, two interceptions and two pass breakups.

In his career, Bowman has played in 11 games with 30 tackles, two interceptions and two pass breakups.

The Yellow Jackets close out their three-game season-opening road trip when they travel to Alliance on Saturday, September 21 for an OAC game against No. two nationally-ranked and defending OAC Champion the University of Mount Union inside Mount Union Stadium at 1:30 p.m.
