Women's Cross Country Places Sixth at All-Ohio Intercollegiate Challenge

CEDARVILLE, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's cross country team finished in sixth place at the All-Ohio Division III Intercollegiate Challenge hosted by Cedarville University on the Elvin R. King Cross Country Course.

BW was sixth of 15 teams with 186 points.  Wittenberg University was the champion with 50 points.

The Yellow Jackets led in the 6k event by:

  • Junior All-Ohio Athletic Conference and Academic All-OAC runner Hope Murphy (Mogadore) as she finished 21st in a time of 22:50.33
  • Sophomore Katie Plecko (Ravenna / Rootstown) crossed the finish line at 114th in a time of 24:29.64
  • Junior Academic All-OAC runner Jaelyn Jaquay (Cherry Valley, N.Y. / Springfield Central) finished 130th in a time of 24:47.59
  • Freshman Abbie George (Ebensburg, Pa. / Central Cambria) finished 145th in a time of 25:03.05
  • Sophomore Charlotte Jones (Brecksville / Brecksville-Broadview Heights) placed 150th in a time of 25:06.51

BW is back in action on Friday, Sept. 29 when it travels to Delaware to compete in the Ohio Wesleyan Invitational at Liberty Park.
