TIFFIN, Ohio – Freshman setter Abby Cosart (Lima/Bath) recorded a career-high 16 assists but it was not enough as the Baldwin Wallace University volleyball team was defeated by Heidelberg University in a three-set Ohio Athletic Conference match inside the Seiberling Gymnasium.

BW (25-3, 3-3 OAC) fell to Heidelberg (12-11, 3-3 OAC) by scores of 14-25, 18-25 and 18-25.

In addition to Cosart, freshmen setter Kathleen Egan (Cleveland/Beaumont) provided 12 assists.  Junior two-time first-team All-OAC outside hitter Alicia Lortcher (Norwalk) led the attacking unit as she put down nine kills.

The defense was also anchored by Lortcher as she recorded 17 digs. Freshman libero/defensive specialist Sarah Reinhard (Willoughby/South) tallied 12 digs.

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Saturday, October 21 when they close out the home portion of the regular season schedule when they host an OAC match against Capital University on Seniors' and Parents' Day in the Ursprung Gym at 1 p.m.
