ACADEMIC MAJOR: Communication Disorders

BALDWIN WALLACE ATHLETICS INFORMATION: Taylor Burns played four years of volleyball at Baldwin Wallace University and earned four varsity letters. 

ACADEMIC HONORS: Taylor carries an outstanding grade point average of 3.693.  In 2012-2013, Taylor was inducted into the Chi Alpha Sigma Athletics Honor Society and Lambda Pi Eta. In 2010-2011, she was inducted into Alpha Lambda Delta. In 2013-2014, Taylor earned Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference honors.

ATHLETIC HONORS: As a senior in 2013-2014, Taylor was awarded the Coaches Award and also voted as the team's Captain.

GENERAL VOLLEYBALL INFORMATION:  During her four seasons at BW, Taylor helped the Yellow Jackets compile a 61-61 overall record. Individually, she appeared in 113 matches and 398 games and hit .085. She had 382 kills, 38 blocks, 1,302 digs, 138 service aces and 76 assists.

As a freshman in 2010, Taylor played in 28 of the team's 33 matches in her first season of volleyball. She was second on the team with 337 digs and third with 20 services aces as an outside hitter and defensive specialist. Taylor was named to the Kalamazoo French All-Tournament Team. With her hard work and motivation Taylor was selected as the Rookie of the Year for B-W Team Awards.

As a sophomore in 2011, Taylor competed in her second season of volleyball. She played in 117 games while recording, 38 kills, 54 service aces, 351 digs, and seven total blocks.

As a junior in 2012, Taylor competed in her third season of volleyball and earned her third varsity letter.  She played in 80 games during the season while recording 67 kills, 30 service assits, and 243 digs.

As a senior in 2013, Taylor competed in her fourth season of volleyball and earned her fourth varsity letter. She played in 112 games while recording 143 kills, 34 service assists and 371 digs. She was also awarded the Coaches Award and voted as the team's Captain. BW finished 11-18 overall.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Taylor Burns grew up in Tiffin, Ohio and graduated from Fostoria St. Wendelin High School. Taylor played four seasons of varsity volleyball and three seasons of varsity softball.

In volleyball, as a sophomore Taylor was Second Team All-League.  As a junior and senior she was First Team All-League and Third Team District both years.  In addition Taylor was a Fostoria Athletic Booster her senior year.  In softball Taylor was Honorable Mention All-League, Honorable Mention All-District, and an Athletic Booster her junior year.
