ACADEMIC MAJOR: Communication Disorders

BALDWIN WALLACE ATHLETICS INFORMATION: As a junior in 2013-2014, Alayna competed in her third season of volleyball at Baldwin Wallace University and earned her third varsity letter. 

ACADEMIC HONORS: Alayna was named to the 2013 Jacket Scholars Dean's List, and had the highest athlete GPA with a 3.94. In 2013-2014, Alayna earned Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference honors.

GENERAL VOLLEYBALL INFORMATION: Alayna has started off to a solid volleyball career thus far. BW has recorded a 41-48 overall record during her first three seasons as a Yellow Jacket. She has appeared in 95 games and has recorded 154 kills, seven set assists, 40 digs and 47 total blocks.

As a freshman in 2011-2012, Alayna played in eleven games. She recoreded 7 kills, 3 set assits and 3 digs. Also, she contributed with 2 blocking assists.

As a sophomore in 2012-2013, Alayna competed in her second season of volleyball an played in 10 games. She recorded five kills and two digs on the year.

As a junior in 2013-2014, Alayna competed in her third season of volleyball and played in 95 games. She recorded 142 kills, 35 digs and 45 blocks. BW finished 11-18 overall.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Alayna Chlad grew up in Kent, Ohio and graduated from Roosevelt High School. Alayna played four years of volleyball and received four letters. She also competed softball for one year and earned one varsity letter.

Alayna received many accolades throughout her high school career. In volleyball, as a junior Alayna was named as an honorable mention All-Portage Trail Conference performer as well as her teams most valuable defensive player.  As a senior, she was named to the first-team Portage Trail Conference as well as honorable mention All-District. Alayna also recieved a scholar-athlete award all four years in high school. Statistically, Alayna recorded 153 blocks during her senior year as well as a career high 11 kills during a game.
