Women's Tennis Falls to Westminster (Pa.)

MEDINA, Ohio. The Baldwin Wallace University women's tennis team comes up short in their match against Westminster (Pa.) College by a final score of 2-7 at Paramount Tennis Club. 

Singles Play (1-5) 

  • Junior All-Ohio Athletic Conference Gabriela Heideman (Doylestown / Wadsworth) triumphed over Gia Francisco, 6-3, 3-6, 6-1 
  • Junior Academic All-OAC selection Kierstyn Yates (Grafton / Midview) fell to Emma Sukal, 1-6, 3-6 
  • Sophomore Emma Trost (Norwalk) fell to Christine Rossi, 2-6, 2-6 
  • Junior Academic All-OAC selection Juliet Penrod (Macedonia / Nordonia) fell to Caroline Fox, 1-6, 1-6 
  • Freshman Gillian Brown (Brunswick) fell to Ryleigh Valone, 3-6, 0-6 
  • Senior Nicole Babik (Medina/ Highland) fell to Taylor Dlugozima, 0-6, 0-6 

Doubles Play (1-2) 

  • Heideman and Yates overpowered Francisco/Sukal, 8-7 
  • Trost andBrown were defeated by Slagle/Rossi, 2-8 
  • Penrod and Babik were defeated by Fox/Valone, 3-8 

BW (1-9) returns to action on Thursday, March 30 when they visit Ursuline in their final non-conference match of the season at 4:00 p.m. at the Ursuline Tennis Courts
