BEREA, Ohio - The Baldwin Wallace University women's tennis team opens the 2022-23 season as it fell to non-conference opponent Franciscan University by a final score of 7-1 on the Belleview Courts. 

BW starts the season 0-1, as the Yellow Jackets fell 7-1

• Sophomore Hanna LeMaster (Avon) falls to Cardie, 6-4,5-7,10-8
• Sophomore Emma Trost (Norwalk) fell to Vernau, 6-4,6-3
• Juniors Academic All-OAC selection Juliet Penrod (Macedonia / Nordonia) falls to Dawson, 6-1,6-0

• Heideman and Yates won against Herrera/Colby, 8-4
• Lamaster and senior Academic All-OAC selection Lizzy Cole (Shaker Heights) fell to Khlers/Cardie, 8-1
• Trost and Penrod fell to Leon/Saunders, 8-3

BW return to action on Tuesday, September 13 when it travels to Westminster, Pa. to take on Westminster College at 4:00 p.m. on the Titan's Tennis Courts.
