Women’s Lacrosse Continues Win Streak with Victory Over Marietta

BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's lacrosse team continued their win streak with a victory over Marietta College in an Ohio Athletic Conference game by a final score of 17-8 on the Tressel Field inside George Finnie Stadium. 

BW (4-6, 2-1 OAC) Leaders 

  • Junior midfielder Kaitlyn Hradek (Olmsted Township/Olmsted Falls) tied her career-best with four goals and set career-bests with two assists and six points.
  • Senior All-OAC midfielder Maddie Ray (Cuyahoga Falls/Richfield Revere) had three goals.
  • Senior midfielder Sid Chamberlin (Wooster) added a career-best five assists. 
  • Senior All-OAC goalkeeper Ashleigh Hildreth (North Tonawanda, N.Y./Sweet Home) had eight saves.  

Marietta (6-4, 0-3 OAC) Leaders

  • Junior Academic All-OAC attacker Megan McGriff had two goals.
  • Freshman midfielder Leeza Jongekryg added another two goals.
  • Junior All-OAC goalkeeper Maddie Leers recorded six saves. 

1st Quarter (BW 5-1)

  • 13:20 Junior attacker Mackenzie Dyott scores the first goal of the game for Marietta (1-0).
  • 10:13 Sophomore defender Avri DeBevoise (Avon Lake) scores the first BW goal (1-1).

  • 6:41 Hradek scores a second for the Yellow Jackets (3-1).

The Yellow Jackets will be back in action on Wednesday, April 6th when they travel to Alliance, Ohio to take on the University of Mount Union in an OAC match at 7:00 p.m. at Mount Union Stadium.
