Men's Cross Country Begins 2012 Season at Wooster Meet

WOOSTER, OHIO --  Senior Ken Janosko (Mentor) placed second overall in the four-mile run as the Baldwin Wallace University men's cross country team opened its 2012 season today (Friday, August 31) by competing at the unscored The College of Wooster Invitational Meet at the L.C. Boles Memorial Golf Course.

Janosko led the men as he completed the four-mile course in 21:11.50 and was followed by sophomore Greg Blevins (Mentor) as he placed seventh overall and cross the finish line in a time of 22:17.60.

In the four thousand-meter  run, junior Dusan Vasic (Broadview Heights/Brecksville Broadview Heights) placed fourth overall and finished with a time of 17:25.20. In addition to Vasic, freshmen Edwin Rosa (Olmsted Falls) and Dan Nowak (Morgantown, W.Va./ University) placed ninth and tenth and crossed the finish line in times of 18:33.00 and 18:40.50, respectively.

The Yellow Jackets are idle this weekend and next compete on Saturday, Sept. 8 when they travel to Grand Rapids, Michigan to compete at the Knight Invite at Calvin College at 10:00 a.m.
