ACADEMIC MAJOR: Business Administration & Criminal Justice (double major)
BW ATHLETICS INFORMATION: Kyle Patterson played four seasons of men's tennis at Baldwin Wallace University and earned four varsity letters. The four-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference and three-time Academic All-OAC standout student-athlete was one of the top players in the OAC and one of the best to ever play at BW.
KYLE'S BW LEGACY: Kyle was a four-year starter who helped the Yellow Jackets to compile an outstanding 101-11 record with a .902 winning percentage. He also helped BW to win the 2012 OAC Title and advanced to the second round of the 2012 NCAA Division III National Tournament.
AMONG THE ALL-TIME WINS LEADERS: Individually, Kyle ranks third all-time in school history in singles wins with 96, fifth in doubles victories with 87 and third in career combination wins with 183. Kyle was 96-19 in singles, 87-26 in doubles and 173-45 with a .794 winnijg percentage.
ACADEMIC HONORS: Kyle was an outstanding student with a 3.812 grade point average. He was a Dean's List student and a Jacket Scholar. He was a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta and Chi Sigma Alpha honoraries, as well as the Dayton C. Miller Honor Society. Kyle graduated Magna Cum Laude.
INTERCOLLEGIATE TENNIS ASSOCIATION ACADEMIC HONORS: As a freshman, sophomore, junior and senior, Kyle was named as an ITA (Intercollegiate Tennis Association) Scholar-Athlete.
ACADEMIC ALL-OAC: Kyle was a three-time Academic All-OAC choice. As a sophomore, junior and senior, Kyle earned Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference honors. As a sophomore in 2012-2013, he was named first-team CAPITAL ONE Academic All-District 7.
ALL-OAC HONORS: Kyle was a four-time All-OAC selection. As a freshman in 2011-2012 and sophomore in 2012-2013, Kyle earned second-team All-OAC honors. As a junior in 2013-2014 and senior in 2015-2016, Kyle was named first-team All-OAC.
OAC PLAYER OF THE WEEK: As a freshman in 2011-2012, Kyle earned the OAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week on April 23, 2012. As a senior in 2016-2017, he earned his second career OAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week honor on April 18, 2016
THROUGH-THE-YEARS: As a freshman in 2011-2012, Kyle played his first season of tennis and earned his first varsity letter. He started at number three singles and No.3 doubles. Kyle had a 27-3 singles and 20-6 in doubles record for a combined mark of 47-9. For his efforts, he was a second-team All-OAC selection and was an OAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week on April 23, 2012. He also earned ITA Scholar-Athlete honors. B-W finished its season with a school-record 29 victories, a 29-1 overall record, won the OAC regular season (9-0) and OAC Tournament titles and advanced to the second round of the 2012 NCAA Division III National Tournament.
As a sophomore in 2012-2013, Kyle played his second season of tennis and earned his second letter. He started at No.2 singles and No.2 doubles. Kyle had 24-5 singles and 20-8 doubles record for an overall mark of 44-13. For his efforts, he again was named second-team All-OAC. Academically, Kyle was named Academic All-OAC, first-team CAPITAL ONE Academic All-District 7 (qualified for the national CAPITAL ONE Academic All-America ballot) and as an ITA Scholar-Athlete for the second straight year. B-W finished 23-1 overall.
As a junior in 2013-2014, Kyle played his third season of tennis and earned his third letter. He started at No.1 singles and No.2 doubles. He had a 14-8 singles and 21-5 doubles record. For his efforts, Kyle earned first-team All-OAC honors. Academically, he was named Academic All-OAC and as an ITA Scholar-Athlete for the third straight season. BW finished 19-4 overall.
In 2014-2015, Kyle did not play tennis.
As a senior in 2015-2016, Kyle played his fourth season of tennis and earned his fourth letter. He started at No.3 singles and is a member of the No.2 doubles team. Kyle earned his second career OAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week honor on April 18, 2016 for his efforts in shutout wins versus Heidelberg, Marietta and Muskingum. He was a first-team All-OAC, Academic All-OAC and ITA Scholar-Athlete selection. Kyle compiled a 27-2 singles mark, including a 21-1 record at No.3 singles. He combined with All-OAC freshman player Dominic Polifrone at No.2 doubles to produce a 23-7 record, including an 18-5 mark at No.2. Kyle helped the Yellow Jackets compile a 24-5 overall and 7-1 OAC regular season mark and place second at the 2016 OAC Tournament.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Kyle Patterson grew up in Wooster, Ohio and graduated from Triway High School. He played three seasons of tennis (missed his junior season) and earned three varsity letters. He also played basketball for two seasons (freshman year and JV as a sophomore).
In tennis, Kyle was named All-Northeast Conference all three seasons and received the Wooster Triway H.S. Most Outstanding Player award in 2008, 2009 and 2011.
Academically, Kyle was a member of the Honor Roll all four years.
