BW ATHLETICS INFORMATION: Doug Ganim was one of the best-ever men's tennis student-athletes and a CoSIDA Academic All-American at Baldwin Wallace University.
2016 CoSIDA ACADEMIC ALL-AMERICAN: As a senior in 2016, Doug earned third-team CoSIDA Division III Academic All-America At-Large honors.
AMONG CAREER LEADERS: Doug ranks sixth all-time in singles victories with 86 and had an 86-20 career record with an .811 winning percentage. He and classmate Peter Harris '16 combined in doubles all four years and compiled an 89-26 record to rank third all-time. Doug's 175 career combinations wins ranks fifth all-time.
THE GANIM LEGACY: Doug helped the Yellow Jackets compile an four-year mark of 81-16 with an .835 winning percentage.
ACADEMIC HONORS: Doug carried a 3.8 grade point average and was a Dean's List student. Doug also was a member of the Dayton C. Miller Honor Society. Doug graduated Magna Cum Laude.
CoSIDA ACADEMIC ALL-DISTRICT 7: As a senior in 2015-2016, Doug earned CoSIDA Academic All-District 7 At-Large honors. He went on to earn Academic All-America honors (see more above).
ACADEMIC All-OAC HONORS: Doug was a three-time Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection (as a sophomore, junior and senior).
ITA SCHOLAR-ATHLETE HONORS: Doug was a two-time ITA (Intercollegiate Tennis Association) Scholar Athlete (as a junior and senior).
ALL-OAC HONORS: Doug was a three-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection. As a sophomore in 2013-2014, Doug earned second-team All-OAC honors. As a junior in 2014-2015 and senior in 2015-2016, he earned first-team All-OAC honors.
OAC PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Doug was a two-time OAC Player of the Week honoree. As a sophomore in 2013-2014, he earned OAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week for the first time on March 17, 2014. As a junior in 2014-2015, Doug was named as the OAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week for the second time on March 10, 2015.
THROUGH-THE-YEARS: As a freshman in 2012-2013, Doug played his first season of tennis and earned his first varsity letter. He started at number five singles and No.1 doubles with classmate Peter Harris (Akron/ Richfield Revere). Doug had a 22-6 singles mark and combined with Harris for a 21-9 doubles mark. BW finished 23-1 overall.
As a sophomore in 2013-2014, Doug played his second season of tennis and earned his second letter. He was named as the OAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week on March 17, 2014 for his efforts on the spring trip to Hilton Head, S.C. He led the team with 20 singles victories and had a 20-4 overall mark, including a 16-1 mark at No.3 and a 6-2 slate against OAC foes. In doubles, Doug and partner Peter Harris led the team with 22 wins each. The duo was 19-2 at No.1 doubles, including an 8-1 slate versus OAC opponents. For his efforts, he earned second-team All-OAC honors and Academic All-OAC accolades. BW finished 19-4 overall.
As a junior in 2014-2015, Doug played his third season of tennis and earned his third varsity letter. He was the OAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week on March 10, 2015. He started at No.2 singles and No.1 doubles and compiled a 19-5 singles and 22-4 doubles record. Doug earned first-team All-OAC honors, was Academic All-OAC for the second time and received ITA Scholar Athlete accolades. BW finished 15-6 overall.
As a senior in 2015-2016, Doug played his fourth season of tennis and earned his fourth varsity letter. He started at No.2 singles and No.1 doubles. He compiled a 25-5 singles and 24-8 doubles mark. Doug earned third-team CoSIDA Division III Academic All-America At-Large honors. He was a first-team All-OAC pick for the second straight year, an Academic All-OAC choice for the third straight season and a first-team CoSIDA Academic All-District 7 selection. Doug helped the Yellow Jackets compile a 24-5 overall and 7-1 OAC regular season mark and place second at the 2016 OAC Tournament.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Doug Ganim grew up in Olentangy, Ohio and graduated from Olentangy-Orange High School.
Doug played four years of football and earned two varsity letters. He wrestled one year of and competed in lacrosse earning one letter in each. In tennis, Doug competed in four years of tennis and earned four varsity letters.
In football, Doug was named as an All-Conference performer twice and earned second-team All-District honros once. In tennis, he qualified for the district tournament in all four years of high school.
