Men's Soccer Team Defeats Westminster (Pa.), 1-0, in Berea

BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin-Wallace College men's soccer team defeated Westminster (Pa.) College, 1-0, today (Saturday, September 25, 2010) in a non-league match on Tressel Field in The George Finnie Stadium in Berea.

With the win, B-W is now 6-2-2 overall, and next plays on Wednesday, Sept. 29 when it travels to Cincinnati to play a non-league match versus the College of Mount St. Joseph at 7:00 p.m. Westminster is now 1-5-2 overall.

After a scoreless first half, the Yellow Jackets opened the scoring at the 54:49 mark of the first half when junior All-OAC forward Carlin Vandendriessche (Medina) scored his fifth goal of the season off a pass from senior forward Tyler Leister (Stow/Stow-Munroe Falls).

The Jackets outshot the Titans 20-2, and out cornered Westminster, 10-1.

In net, B-W sophomore Ryan Hulings (Centerville) played all 90 minutes and made seven saves for his third shutout of the season.
