BEXLEY, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's lacrosse team traveled to Capital University for its Ohio Athletic Conference opener. They claimed their first OAC victory of the season by a final score of 14-9 on Purmort Field inside the Bernlohr Stadium.
BW (5-3, 1-0 OAC) Leaders
- Sophomore All-OAC attacker Jake Nanosky (Medina) scored six goals and had one assist.
- Junior All-Ohio Athletic Conference attacker Kyler Byerly (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny) added three goals.
- Junior midfielder Olin Ferguson (Tulsa, Okla./Booker T. Washington) contributed two goals.
- Junior All-OAC goalkeeper Joe Storner (Louisville, Ky./St. Xavier) recorded 10 saves.
Capital (3-5, 1-0 OAC) Leaders
- Mason Spaulding scored five goals.
- Jake Belt added one goal and one assist.
- Sam McInturf saved 16 shots.
