BALDWIN WALLACE INFORMATION: Ryan O'Rourke played three seasons of football at Baldwin Wallace University and earned three varsity letters. As a junior in 2011-2012 and as a senior in 2012-2013, he served as one of four team captains.  As a freshman in 2009-2010, Ryan played one year of football at NCAA Division II Slippery Rock State University.

ACADEMIC HONORS: Ryan was a Jacket Scholar and a member of the Dean's List. He was named as a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma Honor Society and carried a better than 3.4 grade point average. As a junior in 2011-2012, Ryan was named both Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference and CAPITAL ONE Academic All-District IV honors. He was listed on the 2012 CAPITAL ONE Academic All-America ballot.

ATHLETIC HONORS:  As a senior, Ryan was named All-Ohio Athletic Conference and as BW's Most Valuable Player to the Cleveland Touchdown Club Charities annual awards banquet. Rwice during his career, he was named as the Ohio Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week, once during his sophomore year and once during his junior season.

FOOTBALL INFORMATION: Ryan had had a solid football career at BW and helped the Yellow Jackets to a 22-8 record during his three seasons as the starting quarterback. He earned three varsity letters at BW and one at Slippery Rock (Pa.). During his three-year BW career, Ryan completed 371-of-647 passes for 4,844 yards with 46 TDs and 26 interceptions. He also rushed for 166 yards in 148 attempts with eight TDs, and has a long run 71 yards. 

Combined with his freshman year at Slippery Rock (Pa.), Ryan completed 402-of-699 passes for 5,365 yards and 48 TDs.

As a freshman in 2009, Ryan attended NCAA Division II Slippery Rock (Pa.) University. He played in six games and started the final two games of the season and completed 31-of-52 passes for 521 and two touchdowns.  He transferred to B-W in the Spring of 2010.

As a sophomore in 2010, Ryan played his first season of football at Baldwin-Wallace College and was the starting quarterback. In 10 games, Ryan led the Yellow Jackets to a 7-3 record as he has completed 119-of-213 passes for 1,513 yards and 16 TD.  He also rushed for three TD.  For his efforts against Wooster on September 2, Ryan was named OAC Offensive Player of the Week. He completed 9-of-13 passes for 174 yards and three TDs without an interception in a 38-14 victory, in Berea.

As a junior in 2011, Ryan started at  quarterback for the second straight season and was one of four team captains. For the season, he completed 129-of-221 passes for 1,611 yards with 12 TDs and eight interceptions. He also rushed for 33 yards and one TD.  Ryan earned his second OAC Player of the Week award in two seasons when he completed 24-of-29 passes for 279 yards and three TDs without an interception to lead the Yellow Jackets to a 35-20 win over Heidelberg on September 19. He helped BW to an 8-2 record and a No.24 ranking in the final AFCA (American Football Coaches Association) poll.

As a senior in 2012, Ryan played his fourth season of football, was the starting QB for the third straight season, a team captain for the second straight season and led BW to a 7-3 record. The All-OAC selection and Cleveland TD Club MVP completed 123-of-213 passes for 57.7 percent with a career-high 1,720 yards and 18 TDs and just eight inyterceptions. He also ran for 76 yards in 61 attempts and scored four more TDs.

HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION:  Ryan O'Rourke graduated from Avon High School. He played four years of football, basketball and baseball. He earned four varsity letters in football and two each in basketball and baseball.  He was selected to the All-Ohio, All-West Shore Conference and All-District first-team following his senior season of football. Also following his senior season, he also was a Lorain County Golden Helmet winner, symbolic of the top football player in Lorain County.
