BALDWIN WALLACE INFORMATION:

SPORTS PLAYED AT BW (YEARS AND LETTERS WON): As a senior in 2012, Joe will play his fourth season of football and seek a fourth varsity letter. He lettered in 2008 and 2009, missed the 2010 season with an injury and lettered in 2011.

ATHLETIC HONORS: Joe was named the OAC Defensive Player-of-the-Week with his performance against Bluffton University where he recorded three tackles and 2.5 sacks.

GENERAL FOOTBALL INFORMATION: Joe had a solid four-year football career. B-W had a 23-17 record during his four seasons in the Brown & Gold. He earned two varsity letters, recorded 29 career tackles, including 14 solo, three tackles for loss, two forced fumbles, and one recovered fumble.

As a freshman in 2008, Joe played in his first season of varsity football.  He saw playing time in seven games for the Yellow Jackets and recorded two tackles, playing at defensive end and on special teams.

As a sophomore in 2009, Joe played in his second season of football and earned his second varsity letter. Joe played in nine games for the Yellow Jackets and recorded 16 tackles. He saw playing time on the defensive line as well as on special teams.

As a junior in 2010, Joe did not compete in football as he sustained an injury during training camp that did not allow him to compete.   

As a senior in 2011, Joe competed in his third season of football for the Yellow Jackets and earned his second varsity letter. He saw playing time on the defensive line and played in eight games. Joe recorded a 11 tackles including two for a loss of seven yards and he forced two fumbles while recovering one of them. Joe played a key role in theYellow Jackets success as B-W finished with an overall record of 8-2.

As a senior in 2012, Joe will play his fourth season of football and is listed as a preseason starter at DE.

HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS PLAYED (YEARS & LETTERS EARNED): Joe played four years of football and earned three varsity letters. He also played four years of basketball, earning two letters and four years of baseball, where he earned three letters.

HIGH SCHOOL HONORS, SPECIFY SPORT & YEAR: (ALL-CONFERENCE, DISTRICT,  ETC.):  In football as a junior, Joe was second-team All-North Coast League and second-team All-Lorain County. As a senior, he was first-team All-NCL, second-team All-District, first-team All-Lorain County and was named the Defensive Line Player of the Year in Lorain County. In basketball as a senior, Joe was second-team All-NCL and first-team All-Lorain County.
