BALDWIN WALLACE ATHLETICS INFORMATION:  As a junior in 2012-2013, Zach Barley played his third season of football at Baldwin Wallace University. The starting safety earned his second varsity letter and was a key member of the Yellow Jacket defense.

ACADEMIC HONORS: As a junior in 2012-2013, Zach was selected as an Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference student-athlete.  He is a member of the Dean's List and the Alpha Lambda Academic Honor Society and is a Jacket Scholar. He carries an outstanding 3.719 grade point average. 

In his first three seasons in Berea, Zach has helped BW produce a 22-8 record. Individually, he has 72 career tackles, including five for loss. He also has three interceptions and nine total pass breakups.

As a freshman in 2010-2011, Zach played his first season of football.  He split time between the varsity and junior varsity teams as he competed for playing time as a safety. Zack appeared in three varsity games and contributed two total tackles. He received a Certificate of Participation. BW finished 7-3 overall.

As a sophomore in 2011-2012, Zach competed in his second season of football and earned his first varsity letter. He appeared in eight varsity games at safety, usually in the "nickel", passing situations, and on special teams. He contributed 18 total tackles, including two for loss, and recorded one pass breakup. BW finished 8-2 overall and ended its season ranked 24th in the final AFCA (American Football Coaches Association) poll.

As a junior in 2012, Zach played his third season of football and earned his second varsity letter. He started at safety and helped BW to a 7-3 record. He was credited with a career-high 52 tackles to rank third on the team. He also had three tackles for loss, tied for the team-lead with three interceptions and was second with eight total pass breakups.

HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION:   Zach attended Hudson High School and played four years of football and earned three varsity letters.  He also played baseball for three years and earned one letter and played four years of basketball and earned a letter. 

As a senior, Zach was All-Notheast Ohio Conference and honorable mention All-Northeast Ohio District. He also was selected as a Hudson H.S. Scholar-Athlete and as both an Academic All-Ohio and All-American Scholar-Athlete. Zach received the Ray Hyser Leadership Award and was a team captain. As a senior, Zack led Hudson H.S. in tackles and ran back a pair of interceptions for touchdowns.

As a junior Zach also recieved All-NOC honors.
