Kish Chosen as OAC Player Of The Week

BEREA, OHIO -- Men's football senior linebacker Ryan Kish (Amherst/ Marion Steele) was choesen as this week's (October 4-10) Ohio Athletic Conference player-of-the-week for his efforts during the Week of September 27-October 3.

Kish is the Football Defensive Player of the Week by virtue of his efforts in a 39-9 victory against Marietta College on Saturday (Oct. 2) that helped the Yellow Jackets improve to 4-0 overall and 3-0 in the OAC.  He had a game-high-tying 12 tackles, including 2.5 quarterback sacks for minus 14 yards and thre total tackles for minus 16 yards. Kish also forced a Pioneer quarterback to hurry a pass that was intercepted and returned for a touchdown.  

This season, Kish tops B-W in tackles with 35, QB sacks with 3.5 and tackles for loss with 5.5. He also returned a fumble 23 yards for a touchdown in B-W's 35-20 win versus Heidelberg University on September 18.  

This Saturday, Oct. 9, Kish and the Yellow Jackets host OAC-rival Otterbein University on Homecoming in The George Finnie Stadium in Berea at 2:00 p.m.
