BW Women's Swim Team Drops Home Finale to Case Western Reserve

BEREA, Ohio --  The Baldwin Wallace University men's and women's swimming and diving teams both were defeated by Cleveland cross-town and rival Case Western Reserve University in a non-conference dual in the BW Natatorium in the Lou Higgins Center on Seniors' & Parents' Day.

The Yellow Jacket women (7-7) were defeated by Case Western Reserve (5-4) by a score of 187-98. 

Leading the way for the Yellow Jacket women were freshman Jordyn Miller (Ann Arbor, Mich./Pioneer), junior All-OAC diver Maddie Fortune (Akron/Firestone) and junior All-OAC and Academic All-OAC performer Chandler Ashbaugh (Napoleon) who all finished first in their events. Miller won the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 11:15.35 and finished second in 100-yard backstroke in a time of 1:05.60. Fortune won both 1-meter diving events with scores of 158.85 and 221.95. Ashbaugh finished first in the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 1:03.41 and placed second in the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 2:02.48.  

The BW swimmers and divers are now idle until the Yellow Jackets compete at the 2015 Ohio Athletic Conference Championship Meet from February 19-21 at the University of Akron.
