BEREA, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University junior All-Ohio Athletic Conference and Academic All-OAC women's swimmer Chandler Ashbaugh (Napoleon) has been selected as the OAC Female Swimmer-of-the-Week.
Ashbaugh, who earns her second weekly honor
of the season and the third in her career, won four individual
events and swam on two winning relay teams in duals meets with the
University of Mount Union and Hiram College last
weekend. She won the 200-yard individual medley in a
time of 2:21.17 and the 200-yard butterfly in 2:32.73 and swam on
the winning 200-yard freestyle relay team in 1:46.50 against Mount
Union on Friday night. Ashbaugh then won a 200-yard
individual medley in 2:25.59, the 100-yard butterfly in 1:05.73 and
swam on the winning 200-yard medley relay team in 2:00.47 against
Hiram on Saturday afternoon.
The BW swimming and diving teams next travel to Fredonia, New York to compete in the Blue Devil Invitational hosted by Fredonia State on Friday-Sunday, December 5-7. The next home meet is on Saturday, January 24 when the teams host cross-town rival John Carroll University for an OAC dual meet in the BW Natatorium at 1 p.m.
