Women’s Swim Team Receives Honors From CSCAA

BEREA, OHIO --  The Baldwin Wallace University women's swimming and diving team has received Scholar All American status for the 2014 spring semester by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA). The CSCAA presents the Team Scholar All American award to college or university swimming and diving teams who have achieved a grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Leading the way in 2013-2014 were a trio of Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference standouts in graduated senior Angela Musille (Canton/ GlenOak), who carried a 3.91 grade point average in communication disorders, junior Chandler Ashbaugh (Napoleon), who has a 3.775 grade average in early childhood education, and senior Emily Payne (Ligonier, Pa./ Ligonier Valley), who has a 3.768 grade average in public relations.

"We are extremely pleased by the hard work of our women's swimming and diving student-athletes both in the classroom and in the pool," said fourth-year Head Coach Laura Wolff. "Our student-athletes take their academic success seriously and that is the true philosophy of the Division III student-athlete.  We are proud of each young woman."
