ACADEMIC MAJOR:   Early Childhood Education

BW ATHLETICS INFORMATION:  Chandler Ashbaugh competed in her third season of swimming and diving at Baldwin Wallace University in 2014-2015. The multiple All-Ohio Athletic Conference and Academic All-OAC swimmer and school-record holder earned her third varsity letter.

ACADEMIC HONORS:    Chandler carries a 3.76 grade point average, is a Dean's List student and a Jacket Scholar. She also is a member of the Chi Sigma Alpha Honor Society. She received the BW Campus & Community Service Award at the 2015 Student-Athletes Awards ceremony.

As a sophomore in 2013-2014 and junior in 2014-2015, Chandler earned Academic All-OAC honors.

All-OAC HONORS:  Chandler has earned All-OAC honors five times. As a sophomore in 2013-2014, she earned All-OAC honors in the 100-yard butterfly and as a member of the 400-yard medley relay team. As a junior in 2014-2015, she earned All-OAC honors in the 100-yard butterfly (second), 200-yard fly (second) and 200 IM (third).

OAC SWIMMER OF THE WEEK HONORS:  As a sophomore in 2013-2014, Chandler was named as the OAC Women's Swimmer of the Weekon February 3, 2014. As a junior in 2014-2015, she was the OAC Women's Swimmer of the Week on November 10, 2014 and was the OAC Women's Swimmer of the Week again on November 24, 2014. 

ADDITIONAL HONORS:  As a freshman in 2012-2013, Chandler was selected as the Rookie of the Year. As a junior in 2014-2015, was named as BW's Most Valuable Swimmer.

SCHOOL RECORDS:  Chandler owns four individual school-records and is a member of four record-setting relay teams. She owns individual marks in the 50-yard freestyle (24.53 seconds in 2015) and 100-yard free (53.74 seconds in 2015), 100-yard butterfly (58.98 seconds in 2015) and 200-yard individual medley (2:09.94 in 2015). The relay marks are in the 200-yard medley relay (1:49.50 in 2014) and 400-yard medley relay (4:00.72 in 2014) and 200-yard free relay (1:41.59 in 2015) and 400-yard free relay (3:40.31 in 2014)..

GENERAL SWIMMING INFORMATION:  As a freshman in 2012-2013, Chandler competed in her first season of swimming and earned her first varsity letter. She posted team-best times in the 50-yard freestyle (25.26 seconds), 200 free (1:59.00), 50-yard butterfly (28.92), 100 fly (1:01.20) and 200 fly (2:20.04). She was named as the Rookie of the Year.

As a sophomore in 2013-2014, Chandler swam her second season and earned her second letter. She was named as the OAC Women's Swimmer of the Week on February 3, 2014 and earned Academic All-OAC honors. She earned All-OAC honors in the 100-yard butterfly and as a member of the 400-yard medley relay team. Chandler was a member of record-setting relay teams in the 200 and 400-yard medley relays and the 400-yard free relay. She had team-best times in the 50 and 100 free, 50, 100 and 200 fly and 200 IM.

As a junior in 2014-2015, Chandler competed in her third season of swimming and earned her third letter. She was the OAC Women's Swimmer of the Week on November 10, 2014 and was the OAC Women's Swimmer of the Week again on November 24, 2014. She also was named as BW's Most Valuable Swimmer and earned All-OAC honors in the 100-yard butterfly (second), 200-yard fly (second) and 200 IM (third). She set individual school-records in the 50 and 100-yard freestyles, 100-yard butterfly and 200-yard IM. Chandler was a member of the record-setting 200-yard free relay team.

OTHER ORGANIZATIONS:  Chandler is a member of Teaching Together.

HIGH SCHOOL BACKGROUND:  Chandler Ashbaugh grew up in Napoleon, Ohio and graduated from Napoleon High School.  She participated in four varsity sports. She swam and ran track for four years each, played three years of volleyball and she also competed in water polo for one year.

In swimming, Chandler was named All-District and All-State all four years. She earned high school All-American honors in 2010 and 2012. Also in 2012, Chandler was awarded Academic All-American and the Napoleon High School Sportsmanship Award.

Academically, Chandler was the N.H.S. Student of the Month and a member of the National Honor Society.
