ACADEMIC MAJOR: Public Relations
BW ATHLETICS INFORMATION: Emily Payne competed in her fourth season of swimming at Baldwin Wallace University in 2014-2015. The three-time Academic All-OAC swimmer earned her fourth varsity letter.
ACADEMIC HONORS: Emily carries a 3.72 grade point average, is a member of the Dean's List and a Jacket Scholar. She also is a member of the Chi Sigma Alpha Honor Society.
As a sophomore in 2012-2013 and junior in 2013-2014 and senior in 2014-2015, Emily earned Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference honors.
ATHLETICS HONORS: As a senior in 2014-2015, Emily received the Yellow Jacket PHd Award, symbolic of the team's top student-athlete.
GENERAL SWIMMING INFORMATION: As a freshman in 2011-2012, Emily competed her first season of swimming and earned her first varsity letter. She swam freestyle, breaststroke, butterfly and individual medley events.
As a sophomore in 2012-2013, Emily competed in her second season of swimming and earned her second letter. She had a career-best in the 200-yard individual medley (2:39.10). Emily also earned her first Academic All-OAC award.
As a junior in 2013-2014, Emily competed in her third season of swimming and earned her third letter. She career-bests in the 50-yard freestyle (27.25 seconds), 100-yard free (59.55), 500-free (6:30.02), 100-yard breaststoke (1:14.50) and 100-yard butterfly (1:15.38). Emily also earned her second Academic All-OAC award.
As a senior in 2014-2015, Emily competed in her fourth season of swimming and earned her fourth letter. At the team's season-ending banquet, she received the Yellow Jacket PHd Award, symbolic of the team's top student-athlete. Emily had career-bests in the 200-yard free (2:18.62), 50-yard breaststroke (35.66 seconds), 200-yard breaststroke (2:42.07), 100-yard IM (1:16.92), 1-meter diving (six dives/ 140.13 points) and 1-meter championship diving (11 dives/ 258.05 points). She also earned her third straight Academic All-OAC honor. BW finished 7-7 overall.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Emily Payne grew up in Ligonier, Pennsylvania and graduated from Ligonier Valley High School.
Emily swam for four years and earned four varsity letters. She also earned two letters in soccer. In swimming, she qualified for the District meet all four years.
Academically, Emily was an Honor Roll student.
