AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – After making an appearance in the program's first Ohio Athletic Conference Championship game, the Baldwin Wallace University men's lacrosse team was tabbed third in the 2019 OAC Preseason Coaches' Poll.

Also picked third a season ago, BW was third of 10 teams in the poll with 68 points. Both Ohio Northern University and defending OAC champion John Carroll University tied for first place with 75 points. Ohio Northern received six first-place votes while the Blue Streaks tallied four first-place votes. Capital University was selected fourth followed by Otterbein University in fifth.

"We are excited for the opportunities in front of us this spring," said head coach Trey Keeley. "A lot of our men are still wearing a chip on their shoulder, which is exactly what we need on a daily basis to get where we want to go."

Keeley, who is in his second season at the helm, returns 21 letterwinners and five All-OAC players from last year's squad that went 11-5 overall and 6-2 in the OAC, advancing to the OAC Championship game for the first time in program history.

BW will begin the 2019 season with back-to-back non-conference home games against Grove City (Pa.) College on Saturday, Feb. 23, and St. Vincent (Pa.) College on Wednesday, Feb. 27.
