Steinwachs Named OAC Men’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University three-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference attack Chad Steinwachs (Buffalo, N.Y./Williamsville North) has earned his second OAC Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week honor of the season. 

Steinwachs was the offensive catalyst for the Yellow Jackets during a 2-0 week with wins over John Carroll University and Wilmington College. He was the leading scorer with three goals and three assists in the 13-10 win over the Blue Streaks. Steinwachs then added three goals and five assists to help the offense break three separate team records against the Quakers.

This season, Steinwachs leads the Yellow Jackets and the OAC with 43 assists and 72 points. He is also second on the team and fifth in the conference with his 29 goals.

For his career, Steinwachs has appeared in 59 games with 43 starts and has tallied 120 goals, 117 assists and 237 points. He owns eight separate school records and is the Yellow Jackets' all-time leader in goals, assists and points. In addition, the senior's 114 ground balls ties for sixth in school history.

BW returns to action on Wednesday, April 10, to host Ohio Northern University in OAC action at 7 p.m. inside George Finnie Stadium.
