AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – For the second time in his career, Baldwin Wallace University senior three-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference attack Chad Steinwachs (Buffalo, N.Y./Williamsville North) has been named the OAC Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week.

Steinwachs had a record-setting week to lead the Yellow Jackets to non-conference victories over Kenyon College and Transylvania (Ky.) University. In the 17-16 win over Kenyon, the senior tallied four goals and a school-record eight assists for a school-record 12 points. Steinwachs owned the previous single-game assist record with seven and tied two others with 11 points for the single-game point record. On Saturday against Transylvania, he scored the 100th goal of his career en route to a four goal, five assist performance.

This season, Steinwachs leads the Yellow Jackets and the OAC with 22 assists and 34 points and is second on the squad with his 12 goals. He currently leads all of NCAA Division III with 5.5 assists and 8.5 points per game.

For his career, Steinwachs has appeared in 52 games with 36 starts and has recorded 103 goals and  96 assists for 199 points. He is just the second men's lacrosse player in school history to score 100 or more goals. The senior has also grabbed 101 ground balls and caused 19 turnovers.

BW will return to action on Wednesday, March 13, when the Yellow Jackets hit the road to take on SUNY Geneseo at 2 p.m.
