Men’s Golf Finishes Seventh at OAC Spring Championships

SUNBURY, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's golf team finished seventh at the Ohio Athletic Conference Spring Championships hosted by Otterbein University at the NorthStar Golf Club.

BW was seventh of nine teams with a two-round total of 646 strokes on the par-72 and 7,033-yard NorthStar layout.  Otterbein was the champion with 613 strokes. 

The Yellow Jackets were led by junior Hunter Miller (Frankfort/Adena) as he fired rounds of 81 and 74 for a championship total of 155 to finish in a tie for eighth place. Sophomore Jimmy Clark (North Olmsted), who is this week's OAC Golfer of the Week, carded rounds of 81 and 82 for a two-round total of 163. Sophomore Ben Ladaika (Erie, Pa./Erie Cathedral Prep) posted rounds of 78 and 85 for a two-day total of 163.   Freshman Drake Tobias (Macedonia/Nordonia) tallied rounds of 84 and 81 for a two-round total of 165.  Rounding out the top five was junior Adam Morris (Grafton/Midview) as he had two rounds of 94 for a two-day total of 188.

Playing as individuals were juniors junior Brad Blaine (Brooklyn) and Jack Kyle (Bay Village/Bay) and freshman Jared Budner (Macedonia/Nordonia).  Kyle carded rounds of 85 and 87 for a two-round total of 172.  Budner had rounds of 88 and 90 for tournament total of 178.  Blaine tallied rounds of 86 and 92 for a two-round total of 178.

BW is back in action on Saturday, April 7 when it travels to West Lafayette to compete in the Battle of the Cuyahoga Invitational hosted by John Carroll University at the River Greens Golf Course.
