Men’s Golf Defeats Thomas More (Ky.) in Lone Florida Spring Match

HAINES CITY, Fla. -- The Baldwin Wallace University men's golf team opened the spring portion of its schedule as it defeated Thomas More (Ky.) College on the Grenelefe Golf and Tennis Resort.

BW defeated Thomas More by six strokes as the final score was 337-343.

The Yellow Jackets were led by junior Hunter Miller (Frankfort/Adena) as he was the medalist with a round of 82.  Freshman Blake Glista (Beloit/West Branch) was the runner-up as he fired a round of 83. Freshman Drake Tobias (Macedonia/Nordonia) tied for third as he carded a round of 84.  Junior Brad Blaine (Brooklyn) finished eighth as he posted a round of 88.  Rounding out the top five was sophomore Ben Ladaika (Erie, Pa./Erie Cathedral Prep) as he had a round of 96.

Playing as individuals were seniors Brandon Fatsie (North Olmsted) and Tommy Glenn (Avon), juniors Jack Kyle (Bay Village/Bay) and Adam Morris (Grafton/Midview) and freshman Jared Budner (Macedonia/Nordonia).  Kyle top the group with a round of 87.  Morris fired an 89 while Budner carded a round of 93.  Glenn had a round of 101 and Fatsie posted a round of 108.

BW is back in action on Sunday, March 25 when it travels to Shaker Heights to compete in the John DiCillo Invitational hosted by John Carroll University at the Shaker Heights Country Club.
