ALLIANCE, Ohio – Sophomore Jimmy Clark (North Olmsted) won his first career tournament and was the medalist as the Baldwin Wallace University men's golf team placed third at the University of Mount Union Fall Invitational at the Tannenhauf Golf Course. 

BW finished third of six teams with a two-round total of strokes of 613 on the par-72 and 6,411-yard Tannenhauf layout.   John Carroll University was the team champion with 604 strokes. 

The BW "A" Team was led by Clark as won the tournament with a two-day total of 146, with a career-low tying 73 in both rounds.  Freshman Drake Tobias (Macedonia/Nordonia) shot rounds of 75 and 77 for a two-round total of career-best 152.   Junior Hunter Miller (Frankfort/Adena) fired rounds of 79 and 76 for a two-day total of 155.  Sophomore Ben Ladaika (Erie, Pa./Erie Cathedral Prep) carded rounds of 79 and 82 for a two-round total of 161. Rounding out the top five was freshman Blake Glista (Beloit/West Branch) with rounds of 81 and 81 to finish with a two-day total of 162.

The Yellow Jacket "B" team was led by junior Jack Kyle (Bay Village/Bay) carded rounds of 81 and 82 for a two-day total of 163.  Senior Brandon Fatsie (North Olmsted) carded a career-low round of 81 on day one and finished with 86 for a two-day total of 167. Freshmen Jared Budner (Macedonia/Nordonia) shot rounds of 83 and 84 for a two-day total of 167. Junior Adam Morris (Grafton/Midview) tallied rounds of 83 and 87 for a two-round total of 170. Junior Brad Blaine (Brooklyn) shot an 80 in the first round but had to withdraw from the second round.

BW closes out the fall portion of its schedule on Saturday, September 30 when it travels to West Lafayette to compete in the 27-hole John Carroll University Tournament at the River Greens Golf Course.
