BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's basketball team has made its third appearance in the D3hoops.com Top 25 poll this season, ranking 24th in the latest poll released on Monday.

BW (14-3, 8-2 Ohio Athletic Conference) received 71 points in the eighth weekly poll to take the No. 24 spot. The Yellow Jackets have been ranked twice earlier in the season: No. 22 after knocking off then-ranked No. 6 Marietta College and No. 25 just two weeks ago after riding a seven-game winning streak.

This week's poll marks the 34th time in program history that the Yellow Jackets have been ranked in the D3hoops.com Top 25 poll. BW's highest ever ranking came during the 2006-07 season when it was ranked No. 3 in the Week 13 poll.

Last week, BW notched wins over then 20th-ranked John Carroll University, the third such win over a top-25 team this season, and also avenged an earlier loss to Muskingum University as part of a current three-game winning streak.

Whitman (Wash.) College received all 25 first place votes to sit at No. 1 with 625 points. Washington University in St. Louis moved into the No. 2 spot with 585 points while Wittenberg University jumped from No. 5 to No. 3 with 574 points. John Carroll and Marietta remain the only two other OAC schools in the poll as John Carroll dropped to No. 23 following a loss to the Yellow Jackets and Marietta dropped from No. 18 to No. 25 after losing to JCU on Saturday.

BW is back in action on Wednesday, January 24, when the Yellow Jackets host an OAC game against Heidelberg University at 7 p.m. inside Ursprung Gymnasium.
