Kuhn Earns Fourth Career OAC Men’s Basketball Player of Week Honor

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University men's basketball senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference guard Cam Kuhn (Vermilion) has been selected as the OAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the fourth time in his career. 

Kuhn, who earned the weekly honor twice as a sophomore and once as a freshman, helped the Yellow Jackets to two victories last week as the team improved to 11-2 overall 5-1 in the OAC.   He averaged 26.5 points per game, 5.0 rebounds per contest and 3.0 assists per game in the two victories.  In addition, Kuhn shot 68.0 percent from the field, 71.4 percent from three-point land and 87.5 percent from the foul line during the week.

He scored 25 points and grabbed three rebounds and dished out four assists in a 96-93 victory against the University of Mount Union at home last Wednesday.  Kuhn then scored a game-high 28 points, grabbed seven rebounds and passes for two assists in an 87-69 win at Wilmington last Saturday.

On the season, he leads the team and is tied for fifth in the OAC in scoring with 19.2 points per game.   Kuhn also leads the team and is 10th in the OAC in free throw percentage at .827.  He is second on the squad in rebounding with 4.2 rebounds per contest, second in assists with 18 and ranks fourth in steals with nine. 

For his career, Kuhn has appeared in 95 games with 91 starts.  He averages 17.2 points per game and 3.5 rebounds per contest.  Kuhn has dished out 190 assists and has made 71 steals and 11 blocks.   He currently ranks eighth on the BW all-time scoring list with 1,635 points.  Kuhn holds the school record for points in a game with 51, fouls shots in a game with a perfect 15-of-15 and is tied for school record for three-pointers in a game with nine.  

The Yellow Jackets return to action on Wednesday, January when they host an OAC game against Ohio Northern University in the Ursprung Gymnasium inside the Lou Higgins Center at 7 p.m.   BW closes out the week on Saturday, January 13 when it travels to Westerville for an OAC game against Otterbein University in the Rike Center at 2 p.m.
