Men's Basketball Unveils 2017-18 Schedule

BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's basketball team and third-year Head Coach Tom Heil have announced the 2017-18 schedule.

The Yellow Jackets will open up the season on Friday, November 17, against Wisconsin-River Falls inside King Arena as part of the Lee Pfund Classic, hosted by Wheaton College. The consolation and championship games will take place on Saturday, November 18, at 5:30 p.m. and 9 p.m., respectively.

Non-conference opponent Alfred State (N.Y.) College will visit Berea for the home opener on Tuesday, November 21, for a 4 p.m. tip-off inside Ursprung Gymnasium in the Lou Higgins Center.

Ohio Athletic Conference play opens up on the road for the Yellow Jackets on Saturday, December 2, at Marietta College in Ban Johnson Arena at 3 p.m. Conference play at home will not take place until almost a month later when BW plays host to the University of Mount Union on Wednesday, January 3, 2018, at 7 p.m.

One other tournament highlights the schedule when the Yellow Jackets will head to Orlando, Florida, for the RDV Sportsplex D3 Classic. BW will take on St. Vincent (Pa.) College on Wednesday, December 20, at 7:30 p.m. and Hope (Mich.) College on Thursday, December 21, at 7:30 p.m.

The OAC Tournament is scheduled to take place February 20-24.

BW finished the 2016-17 season with a 15-13 overall record and an 8-10 mark in the conference. The Yellow Jackets advanced all the way to the OAC Championship game by defeating Ohio Northern University in the quarterfinals and Muskingum University in the semifinals but fell to nationally-ranked Marietta College in the championship.
