Women 22nd at All-Ohio Cross Country Championships

CEDARVILLE, OHIO --  The Baldwin Wallace University women's cross country team competed today at the annual All-Ohio Championships hosted by Cedarville University. The women's team placed 22nd of 43 teams and was tenth of 21 Division III teams with 624 points.

The BW women were paced by senior Shania Kovatch (Parma/Valley Forge) finished 66th overall an 26th in Division-III in a time of 19:23.23. Along with Kovatch finishing for the Yellow Jackets were senior Lauren McGaughey (Allison Park, Pa. /Hampton) finished 134th overall and 62 in Division III in a time of 20:13.15, junior Lauren Hutka (North Ridgeville / Midview) placed 139th overall and finished 65th in Division III in a time of 20:15.66, senior Tess Hoogeveen (Westerville /South) finished 146 overall and placed 68th in Division III with a time of 20:18.92, freshman Kali Fittro (Tiffin /Columbian) placed 147th overall and 69th in Division-III in a time of 20:20.08, junior Brooke Hradisky (Aurora) placed 172nd overall and 83rd in Division-III in a time of 20:46.55, and sophomore Dusica Vasic (Broadview Heights/Brecksville-Broadview Heights) rounded it off for BW finishing 188th overall and 91 in Division III with a time of 21:07.29.

Freshman Taylor Jurczynski (Parma /Normandy), led the Yellow Jackets in the 5K Open meet finishing 83rd overall with a time of 20:55.52. Along with  Jurczynski, junior Blair Vrcan (Mentor) placed 146th overall in a time of 21:53.53,  freshman Molly Rehor (Fairview Park/Fairview) placed 172nd overall with a time of 22:27.26, freshman Jennifer Dudley (Berea) finished 209th overall in a time of 23:47.24, senior Lynn Fahey (Orlando, N.Y. /Wayne Central) placed 213th  with a time of 24:08.14, and freshman Lauren Fredriksen (Hamburg) rounded it out for BW finishing 218th with a time of 24:37.50.

The Yellow Jackets are back in action Saturday, October 13 when they travel to nearby Oberlin to compete at the Inter-Regional Rumble hosted by Oberlin College at 10:30 a.m.  BW then closes out the regular season when it travels to Wilmington to compete in the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships hosted by Wilmington College on Saturday, October 27 at 11:00 a.m.
