OBERLIN, OHIO -- The Baldwin Wallace University women's cross country team competed at the annual Oberlin College Inter-Regional Rumble Meet. They finished in 13th place. Ten Yellow Jacket women competed.
The women were paced by senior Shania Kovatch (Parma/Valley Forge) as she finished 35th of 270 total runners in a time of 22:30.10. She was followed in the Top-5 by senior Lauren McGaughey (Allison Park, Pa./ Hampton) in 62nd place in 22:54.70, freshman Kali Fritto (Tiffin/ Columbian) in 106th place in 23:34.00, junior Brooke Hradisky (Aurora) in 118th place in 23:50.60 and junior Lauren Hutka (North Ridgeville/ Grafton Midview) in 125th place in 23:54.10.
In addition, Dusica Vasic (Broadview Heights/ Brecksville-Broadview Heights) was 128th in 23:56.30, freshman Taylor Jurczynski (Parma Normandy) was 157th in 24:26.40, senior Tess Hoogeveen (Westerville/ South) was 168th in 24:40.80, junior Blair Vrcan (Mentor) placed 205th in 25:21.60 and freshman Molly Rehor (Fiarview Park/ Fairview) was 232nd in 26:28.30.
The Yellow Jacket women are back in action on Saturday, October 27 when they travel to Wilmington, Ohio to compete at the 2012 Ohio Athletic Conference Championship Meet hosted by Wilmington College.
