Women's Swimming and Diving Competes at 2016 Sarasota (Fla.) Quad Relay Invite

SARASOTA, Fla. – The Baldwin Wallace University women's swimming and diving teams competed in the non-scored 2016 Sarasota Quad Relay Invite against Division I Washington (Wash.) University, Kenyon University, and Transylvania University inside of the Lido Beach Pool in Sarasota, Florida on Sunday morning. 

Sophomore Courtney Severens (Bucyrus), freshman Claire Onchuck (Darien, Ill./Hinsdale South), and freshman Elizabeth Sant (Mount Vernon) earned a fourth place finish in the 200-yard breaststroke relay in a time of 2:57.55. All-OAC senior Chandler Ashbaugh (Napoleon), freshman Lena Kortis (Canton/Massillon Perry), and freshman Sarah Krupp (Williamsville, N.Y./South) combined for another fourth place finish in the 100-yard individual medley relay with a wall touch at the 3:56.26 mark.

The Yellow Jackets earned fourth and fifth place in the 200-yard freestyle relay. Severens, Onchuck, Kortis, and sophomore Nicole Gladish (Fairview Park) added another fourth place finish in a time of 2:13.31. Sant, freshman swimmer Rebecca Johnson (Indianapolis, Ind./Lawrence Central), senior Contessa Elliott (Ypsilanti, Mich.), and freshman Mackenzie Biastre (Eden, N.Y.) finished fifth in a time of 2:24.75.

BW is back in action on Sunday, January 10 when they travel to Sarasota, Florida for the Sarasota Sprint Spectacular at 9 a.m.
