ACADEMIC MAJOR: Neuroscience/Biology
BW ATHLETICS INFORMATION: In 2014-15 Lena was enrolled at Walsh University where she played softball.
As a sophomore in 2015-2016 Lena is competed in her first season of swimming and diving at Baldwn Wallace University and earned her first varsity letter.
SWIMMING AND DIVING INFORMATION: As a sophomore in 2015-2016, Lena earned her first varsity letter. At the 2016 OAC Championships she set career-best times in the 50-yard freestyle (26.00), 100-yard freestyle (56.54), and 100-yard butterfly (1:02.48). Kortis was also a member of the 200-yard freestyle relay team that finished fourth in a school-record time of 1:40.76 at the OAC Champioships. She was also a member the teams' best 400-yard freestyle (3:42.33), 200-yard individual medley (1:55.44), and 400-yard medley (4:07.29) relay teams.

HOMETOWN AND HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Magdalena grew up in Canton, Ohio and graduated from Massillon Perry High School.
Magdalena swam for four years and played softball for four years. She was an All-NEAC swimmer for four years, All-County for two years and All-Federal League for two years.
