BALDWIN WALLACE ATHLETICS INFORMATION: Joe Schmidt completed his first season of wrestling at Baldwin Wallace University in 2012-2013. He earned his first varsity letter.

GENERAL WRESTLING INFORMATION: As a freshman in 2012-2013, Joseph competed in his first season of wrestling and earned his first varsity letter. He was the starting 147-pounder for most of the season and he compiled a 17-15 overall record. Joe totaled six pins, 29 takedowns and 17 escapes. He also tallied one reversal and 12 total near falls.

As a sophomore in 2013-2014, Joseph will compete in his second season of wrestling and will look to earn his second varsity letter.

HOMETOWN & HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Joe Schmidt grew up in Hinckley, Ohio and graduated from Brunswick High School. During Joseph's high school career, he earned two varsity letters in soccer, as well as four varsity letters in wrestling.  Joseph was a district qualifier and he placed third at Conference Tournament.  Joseph had a 3.5 GPA.
