BALDWIN WALLACE ATHLETICS INFORMATION: Alex Cahill competed in his second season of wrestling at Baldwin Wallace University in 2012-2013. He earned his second varsity letter.
GENERAL WRESTLING INFORMATION: He will enter his junior season in 2013-2014 looking to earn his third letter and a spot in the starting lineup. After two seasons, he has a 5-28 career mark with two pins. He has 18 career takedowns, 41 escapes, two reversals and eight total near falls.
As a freshman in 2011-2012, Alex competed in his first season of wrestling and earned his first varsity letter. He appeared in 18 matches and compiled a 2-16 with 10 takedowns, 20 escapes, one reversal and three total near falls.
As a sophomore in 2012-2013, Alex competed in his second season of wrestling and earned his second letter. He was the backup at 157 pounds and compiled a 3-12 record with two pins, eight takedowns, 21 escapes, one reversal and five total near falls. He helped BW to win the 2013 Manchester (Ind.) University Tournament.

HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION: Alex Cahill grew up in Westlake, Ohio and attended Westlake High School. He participated in football, wrestling and track & field. Alex lettered two years in football, four years in wrestling and two years in track.
In football as a senior in 2010-11, Alex was an All-Southwestern Conference linebacker and served as a team captain.
In wrestling as a senior, he was a team captain and an Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) District qualifier. He placed fourth in the Lorain Southview Sectional Tournament.
In the classroom, Alex was named to the Academic Honor Roll all four years and was tabbed as a Wrestling Scholar-Athlete.
