Women's Lacrosse Stings Blue Streaks, Advances to OAC Tournament Semifinals; Alic Scores 50th Goal of Season

BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's lacrosse team faced crosstown rival John Carroll University for its Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament quarterfinal game on the Tressel Field inside of the George Finnie Stadium. The Yellow Jackets defeated the Blue Streaks by a 17-12 final score.

In the second quarter of tonight's game, freshman midfielder Clare Alic (Carmel, Ind. / Guerin Catholic) became the third player in BW women's lacrosse program history to score 50 goals in one season, and the first since 2014.

BW (10-7, 5-3 OAC) was led by Alic as she tallied seven goals, nine draw controls, three ground balls, two assists and a caused turnover.

John Carroll was led by freshman midfielder Riley Knapp as she totaled five goals, four ground balls, four caused turnovers, three draw controls and an assist.
