Women’s Lacrosse Cruises Past Allegheny (Pa.)

BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's lacrosse team faced Allegheny (Pa.) College for a non-conference matchup on the Tressel Field inside of the George Finnie Stadium. The Yellow Jackets defeated the Gators by a 13-8 final score.

BW (2-1) was led by senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference midfielder Deanna Loukas (Tuckahoe, N.Y. / Eastchester) as she tallied five goals with an assist while notching three ground balls. Sophomore attack Mariana Melgoza (Avon Lake) also led the Yellow Jackets with three goals and two draw controls.

Allegheny (Pa.) was led by junior midfielder Lauren Petrarca as she totaled three goals while picking up a ground ball.

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Saturday, March 2 at 10:00 a.m. for a non-conference road contest at Kenyon College on McBride Field.
