Women’s Golf Finishes Seventh at Grey Hawk Golf Club

LAGRANGE, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team finished seventh in its own Yellow Jacket Invitational at the Grey Hawk Golf Club.

BW finished seventh of seven teams in the two day invitational with a team score of 791. Denison won the invitational with a final score of 644.

The Yellow Jackets were led by freshman Allison Mills (Dover) as she shot an 87 on day one and a career-best 82 on day two for a team-best score of 169.  Freshman Alexis Wilkinson (Dover), sophomore Erinn Maynard (New London) and freshman Hannah Durst (Madison) closed out the team score. Wilkinson carded rounds of 104 and 95 for a score of 199, Maynard fired rounds 100 and 102 for a final score of 202 and Durst posted rounds of 108 and 113 for a total of 221.

Senior Kelsey Johnson (Carmel, Ind. /Park Tudor) and freshman Emily Hunt (Marysville)  each played as individuals for the BW.   Johnson fired rounds of 124 and 117for a finals score of 241 and Hunt shot a 99 in round one but had to withdraw from round two.  

BW is back in action on October 8 and 9 when they travel to Wooster to play at the Wooster Invitational at the Wooster Country Club.
