Women’s Golf Finishes Seventh at Ohio Wesleyan Fall Invitational

POWELL, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team finished seventh at the Ohio Wesleyan Fall Invitational on the Safari Golf Club golf course.

Yesterday the first round was rained out and the invitational was turned into an 18-hole event. BW combined for a round of 376 and finished seventh of seven teams. Ohio Wesleyan University won the invitational with a team score of 322.

The Yellow Jackets were led by, freshmen Allison Mills (Dover), sophomore Erinn Maynard (New London), and sophomore Grace Magee (Skaneateles, N.Y.). Mills shot a team-best 91, Maynard posted a career-best score of 93 and Magee posted a score of 95. Freshmen Alexis Wilkinson (Dover) and Emily Hunt (Marysville) closed out the top five. Wilkinson shot a 97 and Hunt shot a 102.

Freshman Hannah Durst (Madison) shot a 102 and senior Kelsey Johnson (Carmel, Ind. /Park Tudor) posted a 112 as individuals for the Yellow Jackets.      

BW is back in action on September 18 and 19 when they travel to Hudson for the John Carroll Fall Invitational at the Country Club of Hudson.
