Women’s Golf Finishes Eighth at Laura Bump Invitational

OSTRANDER, Ohio -- The Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team finished eighth at the two-day Laura Bump Invitational hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University at the Mill Creek Golf Club. 

BW was eighth of nine teams with a two-day total of 757 on the par-72 and 5,834 Mill Creek G.C. layout.  NAIA Davenport (Mich.) University was the invitational champion with a two-day total of 649.

The Yellow Jackets were led by freshman Allison Mills (Dover) as she fired rounds of 86 and a career-best 79 to finish tied for 10th with a total of 165.  Freshman Emily Hunt (Marysville) carded rounds of 99 and a career-best 94 for a two-day score of 193. Sophomore Grace Magee (Skaneateles, N.Y.) posted rounds of 98 and 99 for a total of 192. Sophomore Erinn Maynard (New London) shot rounds of 99 and 103 for a total of 202. Senior Kelsey Johnson (Carmel, Ind./Park Tudor) rounded out the top five as she posted rounds of 115 and 112 for a tournament total of 227.

BW is back in action on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, April 21-23 when it travels to West Lafayette to compete in the OAC Championships hosted by the University of Mount Union at the River Greens Golf Course.
