Women’s Golf Places Seventh at Polar Bear Classic

HARROD, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team finished seventh at the two-day Polar Bear Classic hosted by Ohio Northern University at the Colonial Golfers Club.

BW finished seventh of 11 teams and combined for a team score of 739. NAIA Northwestern Ohio won the invitational with a team score of 664.

The Yellow Jackets were led by freshman Allison Mills (Dover) as she carded rounds of 87 and 90. Behind Mills, sophomore Grace Magee (Skaneateles, N.Y.) shot a career-best round of 87 on day one and a 95 on day two and freshman Alexis Wilkinson (Dover) recorded a round of 92 on day one and career-best tying 91 on day two. Freshman Hannah Durst (Madison) and Emily Hunt (Marysville) closed out the top-five. Durst posted a round 101 on day one and a career-best round of 96 day two and Hunt shot a round of 104 and a career-best round of 96 on day two.

Senior Kelsey Johnson (Carmel, Ind. /Park Tudor) played as an individual and recorded a career-best round of 102 on day two and 107 on day two.

BW is back in action on Saturday and Sunday, April 8 and 9 when it travels to Ostrander for the Laura Bump Invitational hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University at the Mills Creek Golf Club.
