Men's Cross Country Team Opens Season at Wooster Invite

WOOSTER, OHIO --  The Baldwin Wallace University men's cross country team opened their 2013 season by competing at the unscored The College of Wooster Invitational Meet at the L.C. Boles Memorial Golf Course on Friday.

Leading the way was sophomore Mike Miller (Strongsville), who placed first overall in the four-mile run with a mark of 21:18.3. In addition to Miller in the four-mile course, junior Greg Blevins (Mentor) finished runner-up, crossing the finish line in a time of 21:30.5.

In the 5k run, senior Dusan Vasic (Broadview Heights/Brecksville-Broadview Heights) led the way for the Yellow Jackets and placed second overall in a time of 17:26.9. In addition to Vasic, sophomores Dan Nowak (Morgantown, W. Va./University) and Jason Young (Parma/Normandy) placed tenth and 16th and crossed the finish line in times of 18:57.9 and 19:56.5, respectively.

The Yellow Jackets are idle until they compete on Saturday, September 7 when they travel to Delaware to compete at the Ohio Wesleyan University Invitational at 10:00 a.m.
