BW Cross Country Teams Compete at OWU Meet

DELAWARE, Ohio --  The Baldwin Wallace University men's cross country team competed today (Saturday, September 7, 2013) at the annual Ohio Wesleyan University Invitational/ Great Lakes Colleges Championship Meet at Liberty Park.  This is the second week of the season for the Yellow Jacket harriers.

The BW men scored 169 points to place seventh of 12 total teams. 

Leading the way for the men was sophomore transfer Mike Miller (Strongsville), who placed eighth of 168 total runners in the 8,000-meter run with a mark of 26:11.1 overall. It marked the second straight week that Miller led the men.

Miller was followed by junior Greg Blevins (Mentor) in 10th place in 26:19.4, senior Dusan Vasic (Broadview Heights/ Brecksville-Broadview Heights) in 29th place in 27:29.5, sophomore Dan Nowak (Morgantown, W.Va./ University) in 72nd place in 29:07.5 and sophomore Jason Young (Parma/ Normandy) was 114th in 30:40.1.

The Yellow Jackets are back in action next Saturday, Sept. 21 when they travel to Grand Rapids, Michigan to compete at the Calvin College Invitational at 10:00 a.m.
