OBERLIN, OHIO.  --  The Baldwin Wallace University men's cross country team competed today (Saturday, October 19, 2013) at the annual Oberlin College Inter-Regional Rumble.

The BW men scored 477 points to place 17th of 31 total teams.  

Leading the way for the men in the Men's 8K Varsity Race was junior Greg Blevins (Mentor) who placed 23rd of 277 total runners with a time of 26:03.2.  It was the third time this season that Blevins led the Yellow Jacket men.  The top five runners scores count toward the team total.

Blevins was followed closely by sophomore Mike Miller (Strongsville) in 24th place in 26:03.8. Miller also has led the team three times this fall.  Also, senior Dusan Vasic (Broadview Heights/ Brecksville-Broadview Heights) was in 88th place in 26:56.9, sophomore Dan Nowak (Morgantown, W. Va/ University) in 184th place in 28:25.6 and sophomore Alex Fuhrmann (Painesville/ Riverside) in 236th place in 29:48.5.

In addition in the Varsity Race, sophomore Aaron Long (Mishawaka, Ind./ Penn) was 252nd in 30:32.3, sophomore Jason Young (Parma/ Normandy) was 253rd in 30:32.8, freshman Seth Duncan (North Olmsted) was 269th in 31:50.8 and sophomore Gabe Buehner (Parma/ Senior) was 276th in 35:26.9 overall.

The Yellow Jackets are idle next weekend and next compete at the 2013 Ohio Athletic Conference Championship Meet at Otterbein University on Saturday, November 2.
