ERIE, Pa. – The Baldwin Wallace University men's women's swimming and diving team fell a non-conference dual meet with Penn State Behrend College inside the Junker Center.
The BW men (3-2) lost to Penn State Behrend (3-1) by a final score of 188-98.
The men's team was led by senior All-American stroker Tyler Thompson (Broadview Heights/Brecksville-Broadview Heights) as he claimed titles in the 100-yard and 200-yard breaststroke. He won the 100-yard event with a time of 59.37 seconds and the 200-yard race in 2:16.85. Sophomore All-OAC stroker Greg Shaw (Colorado Springs, Colo./Manitou Springs) won the 100-yard butterfly event in 55.09 seconds and placed second in the 50-yard freestlye in 23.11 seconds. Sophomore stroker Austin Lockhart (Olmsted Falls) placed second in the 200-yard butterfly event with a time of 2:11.56 and sophomore diver Evan Rinaldi (Cleveland/Cleveland Heights) finished second in the 1-meter dive with 197.35 points.
In relay action, freshman stroker Michael Morsch (Phoenix, Ariz./Notre Dame Preparatory), junior freestlyer John Beyer (Columbus/Centennial), Shaw and Thompson brought home the 200-yard medley relay event with a time of 1:40.35.
BW is back in action on Friday, November 17 when it travels to Hiram for a non-conference dual meet against Hiram College in the Alumni Memorial Pool at 6 p.m. The Yellow Jackets return to OAC action on Saturday, November 18 when it travels to Alliance to take on the University of Mount Union in the Hammond Natatorium ay 1 p.m.
