Men's Lacrosse Announces 2020 Schedule

BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's lacrosse team has released its 2020 season schedule.

Under the direction of third-year head coach Trey Keeley, the Yellow Jackets will begin their 2020 campaign with their home opener on Saturday, February 22, when they host non-conference opponent State University of New York at Geneseo at 1:00 p.m. on Tressel Field in the George Finnie Stadium. SUNY Geneseo was the SUNYAC Tournament runner-up last season.

BW's first road matchup will take place on Saturday, February 29, when it travels to Grove City, Pennsylvania to battle against 2019 Presidents' Athletic Conference Tournament Champions and NCAA Tournament participant, Grove City (Pa.) College in a non-conference matchup at 1:00 p.m. on Robert E. Thorn Field.

The Yellow Jackets will head to Colorado Springs, Colorado for their spring break trip, where they will compete against two strong non-conference adversaries on Washburn Field. On March 10, BW will take on a Centennial Conference opponent for the first time, when it faces off versus Haverford (Pa.) College. The Yellow Jackets will also battle against host team, and regionally-ranked Colorado College on March 12.

Several other noteworthy non-conference games on this upcoming season's schedule are matchups against NCAC Tournament participants, Kenyon College and The College of Wooster, as well as regionally-ranked Illinois Weslyan University.

BW will open Ohio Athletic Conference play on Thursday, March 21, when it travels to Bexley to square up againts Capital University at 1:00 p.m. on Purmort Field. The Yellow Jackets' OAC home opener will take place on Wednesday, April 1 when they will compete against crosstown rival, and four-time reigning OAC Tournament champions John Carroll University at 7:00 p.m on Tressel Field.

The remainder of BW's home OAC games include Wilmington College, Muskingum University, the University of Mount Union, and Otterbein University. The Yellow Jackets OAC road matchups include Marietta College, Ohio Northern University, and Heidelberg University.

The OAC Tournament Semifinals will be played on Wednesday, April 29, along with the OAC Tournament Championship Game being contested on Friday, May 1. 

BW finished the 2019 campaign with an overall record of 14-3 including a 8-1 mark in the OAC. The Yellow Jackets also advanced to the OAC tournament for the seventh consecutive season.
